Teddy Swims brought his impressive vocals to Columbus on Wednesday night, taking over Nationwide Arena for the latest stop of The UGLY Tour.

On September 30, Swims performed to a large crowd in Columbus, giving everyone a night to remember. The show comes as Swims enters a new chapter of his career with The UGLY Tour, built to promote his new album set to release on January 22, “UGLY.”

Swims immediately hit the stage with “The Door,” one of his most popular and most recognizable songs, immediately setting the tone for the entire night.

The tour stage setup included a construction/industrial themed set-up, with subtle nods to notable music landmarks in Atlanta, where Swims is from.

The show then continued, with Swims playing “Hammer to the Heart,” “Are You Even Real,” “Funeral,” “911” and “Mr. Know It All.” Swims was able to play a lengthy setlist for his loyal fans that loved every single moment of it.

One of the strengths of a Teddy Swims performance is how naturally his music translates to an arena. His voice backs the massive production and setting, accompanied by his live band, Freak Freely.

Later in the night, Swims played more of his most recognizable songs, consisting of “Perfect Man,” “The Rain,” “Cut Me Loose” and “Break Up in Reverse.” He also put his own spin on Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One,” bringing his voice to another familiar song that everybody in the arena was able to enjoy.

As the show reached its finale, “Bed on Fire” and “Goodbye’s Been Good to You” brought Columbus closer to the song nearly everyone inside Nationwide Arena had been waiting for.

Swims then reached the moment of the night that everyone had been waiting for, “Lose Control.”

The global hit closed the 25-song performance, giving the Columbus crowd one final opportunity to sing alongside him before The UGLY Tour moved on to its next city.

The UGLY Tour continues across North America throughout the fall, with upcoming stops in cities including Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Nashville, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
