The Philadelphia-born rapper returned to his hometown for an energetic night at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, celebrating the sound and momentum behind Halfblood.

Philadelphia-born rapper Slayr brought the Half Blood Tour to his hometown, Philadelphia, PA, for a performance at the Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia in Fishtown, delivering a high-energy set shaped by his blend of rage rap, electronic production, and video game-inspired melodies. The show marked a notable homecoming for the rising artist, bringing the music surrounding Halfblood, Bloodluxe, and AVANT NOVA to a crowd of local supporters.

The all-ages, general admission event drew fans onto the venue’s standing-room floor, where anticipation built ahead of the headlining performance. Doors opened at 7 p.m., giving attendees time to explore merchandise, gather with friends, and settle into the venue before the night’s performances began around 8 p.m.

Kandorr Sets the Tone

DJ Kandorr opened the night with a set lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes, warming up the crowd with a mix of electronic dance music and rap. Tracks such as “Party at My Place” by xaviersobased and “deaf note” by Ken Carson blended the electronic and rap influences that carried through the evening.

The opening set established a high-energy atmosphere before Slayr took the stage. By pairing electronic sounds with rap selections, Kandorr helped prepare the crowd for a headlining performance built around aggressive production, rapid-fire rhythms, and the intensity associated with the rage-rap scene.

Slayr Takes the Hometown Stage

When Slayr stepped onstage, the focus shifted to the music that has helped define his sound. Tracks including “Never Go Down” and “Wipe Yo Nose” brought his fast-paced style to the forefront, combining hard-hitting rap with electronic textures and video game-inspired melodies, while also playing more melodic tracks, including “The Sky” and “Brain Fog,” which came with a more dreamy and ethereal mood.

That combination gave the performance its distinctive character. Rather than relying on a conventional rap-show format, Slayr’s sound draws from the overlap between hip-hop, electronic music, and the digitally influenced production associated with a newer generation of underground rap artists.

The standing-room setting at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia placed the audience close to the performance, creating an environment suited to the show’s intensity. The night’s atmosphere reflected the connection between Slayr’s music and the crowd gathered to experience it live.

A Homecoming on the HalfBlood Tour

A hometown performance carries a different significance from a stop in an unfamiliar city. For Slayr, bringing the Half Blood Tour to Philadelphia offered an opportunity to perform for an audience connected to the city where he was born while continuing to build momentum around his music.

With material from Halfblood, alongside Bloodluxe and Avant Nova, the show brought different parts of his catalog to life. The result was an evening centered on the sound that distinguishes Slayr: a meeting point between rap, electronic energy, and video game-inspired production.

The Philadelphia stop was a memorable hometown appearance on the tour, bringing Slayr’s music back to the city that helped shape his story and giving local fans a chance to experience his sound live.
